Robs winding sticks are made from stable quarter sawn dark hardwoods.  The blanks are rough cut and left to stabilize for several months, those blanks that move excessively are discarded.  The corner and centre dot inlays are Corian, chosen for its bright non fading white.  The sticks are tapered from bottom to top to increase stability when upright.  The completed sticks are soaked in Tung oil for a few days to penetrate as deep into the wood as possible.  While a finish cant stop moisture uptake it can help to slow it down.  Being wood, the sticks may need to be trued occasionally.  $125.00 Cdn a pair.
