Do you find that using your plane's adjusting knob is a bit difficult? Well we did and decided to fix that by creating our Plane AdjuSTAR 2.0 adjusting knob to replace the original adjusting knob on most WoodRiver & Luban bench planes.

Our Plane AdjuSTAR 2.0 is larger and much easier to use than the original adjusting knob allowing you to make adjustments to your blade depth setting easily. Our design makes it easier for you to reach and turn the adjuster with your fingers and easier for you to reach the frog adjustment screw with a screwdriver. We know you will love our Plane AdjuSTAR 2.0.

DETAILS:

Made of forged brass.

Designed to fit WoodRiver and Luban brand bench planes numbers 4-1/2, 5, 5-1/2, 6, 7, and 8. Requires removal of handle to install (see installation video).

WIll Not Fit the WoodRiver or Luban bench planes number 1, 3, 4 and 62.

Diameter: 1-7/8 inch outside diameter.

Hand Plane Upgrades With AdjuStar

I have recently upgraded my LieNeilson 10.25, Woodriver 4.5 & 5.5 and my Stanley No 6 planes withr the Cosman AdjuStar and it has made adjustment so much easier. I cannot understand why it has taken so long for this obvious improvement to be recognised.

Cosmanizing my Woodriver panes

I ordered the AdjuSTAR and the hex screws for the Woodriver 5-1/2 that I had previously purchased and the two combined really made using a plane more enjoyable. So, when I purchased the Woodriver 7, I had to fit it with the same hardware. It is now perfect. The combination of the AdjuSTAR and hex screws makes using the planes so much easier to make adjustments.

AdjuStar 2.0

This is my fourth AdjuStar, I have Luban planes that I've all fitted with the AdjuStar. The AdjuStar makes it so easy to use your plane, you are able to make fine adjustments where as with the standard wheel it's very hard to impossible. Once you have used the AdjuStar you will find it very awkward to go back on the standard wheel, which is why I have fitted 4 planes with the AdjuStar. It's a big game changer to hand planes since the introduction to thicker irons & the new chip breaker design.
