Do you find that using your plane's adjusting knob is a bit difficult? Well we did and decided to fix that by creating our Plane AdjuSTAR 2.0 adjusting knob to replace the original adjusting knob on most WoodRiver & Luban bench planes.

Our Plane AdjuSTAR 2.0 is larger and much easier to use than the original adjusting knob allowing you to make adjustments to your blade depth setting easily. Our design makes it easier for you to reach and turn the adjuster with your fingers and easier for you to reach the frog adjustment screw with a screwdriver. We know you will love our Plane AdjuSTAR 2.0.

DETAILS:

Made of forged brass.

Designed to fit WoodRiver and Luban brand bench planes numbers 5, 5-1/2, 6, 7, and 8. Requires removal of handle to install (see installation video).

WIll Not Fit the WoodRiver or Luban bench planes number 1, 3, 4, 4-1/2 and 62.

Diameter: 1-7/8 inch outside diameter.

Adjustar 2.0 for wood river 51/2 plane

I bought one of the adjustar 2.0 from woodcraft for my woodriver 5 1/2 hand plane and I love it. There’s no more stopping to adjust the blade anymore you can now do it on the fly with one finger with this great improvement. Well done Rob. I have loved every tool that I have bought from from you. Next on my list is the grip for the shooting board. If anyone is thinking of getting this don’t think anymore and just buy it you won’t regret it.

This was a great improvement to my 5 1/2. Makes it much easier to dial in. Now, back to work...

Simple and Effective

This is a wonderful improvement for my 5 ½ WoodRiver plane and I can see ordering more of them for my other planes. Adjustment of the iron is truly simple now and very precise. Way to go Rob Cosman team!

Using the AdjuStar is very easy, handy and simple to use. Thank you. Why couldn’t I have thought of this!

easy access to frog screws and better depth control

Well made and smooth operation. The design gives a greater amount of torque to adjust the blade depth and spins freely to take up backlash (slop) in the iron adjustment mechanism quickly. Also allows access to the frog adjustment screws without removing the iron (Wood River 5 1/2). Expensive but a nice accessory that makes the plane more enjoyable to use.
