At last a dovetail marker that doesn’t slide around in use. I have various other dovetail markers in aluminum that do the job… somewhat. They do tend to be a bit slippy in use and perhaps because of the milling process tend to not mark the corners too well. Despite being much lighter the RC marker stays in place and does it job to perfection. As easy to use as Rob makes it look!

It's the right size and shape for the job. Being compact makes all the difference. Fits in your hand. Put on the end of the tail board, and it registers. Slide it over to your pencil point, and you know the lines will be right. Easier and less room for error than using a longer and heavier sliding bevel gauge. Rob, would you consider making one with a wider top that can be used to mark across two tail boards at once?

Works as it should. Quickly and simply.

I have been fiddling around with sliding bevels and magnetic guides. I love the simplicity of this little aid to dovetailing. Just started using this tool but already can see how it will save time and make things accurate. Thank you!
