Do you find that using your plane's adjusting knob is a bit difficult? Well we did and decided to fix that by creating our Plane AdjuSTAR 2.0 adjusting knob to replace the original adjusting knob on most WoodRiver & Luban bench planes.

Our Plane AdjuSTAR 2.0 is larger and much easier to use than the original adjusting knob allowing you to make adjustments to your blade depth setting easily. Our design makes it easier for you to reach and turn the adjuster with your fingers and easier for you to reach the frog adjustment screw with a screwdriver. We know you will love our Plane AdjuSTAR 2.0.

DETAILS:

Made of forged brass.

Designed to fit WoodRiver and Luban brand bench planes numbers 4-1/2, 5, 5-1/2, 6, 7, and 8. Requires removal of handle to install (see installation video).

WIll Not Fit the WoodRiver or Luban bench planes number 1, 3, 4 and 62.

Diameter: 1-7/8 inch outside diameter.

A welcome improvement

I installed my new Adjustars the minute they arrived. I'm approaching 75 years in a few months and my hands used to be super strong thanks to a lifetime of playing the piano. Now, they are weak and painful and I can tell you it is very frustrating. The Adjustars which I installed on my WoodRiver 4 1/2 and my 5 1/2 have made an astonishing difference in the ease with which I can now dial in the perfect blade depth. I look forward to using those planes now whereas before I kind of dreaded it. Of course, this is the kind of thing that can change a person's feelings about woodworking in general. So, as a result of this newfound enthusiasm, I built a shooting board and will, at some point, be building a 45 degree shooting board so I can perfect those pesky miter joints. Thanks Rob. Major improvement

This is the second Adjustar that I have purchased, the first was for an old Stanley Baily #7 that really helps dial it in to just the right setting. I purchased the second for a Wood River 5-1/2 that I had to get from Woodcraft for a shooting board. Everything that I have purchased from Rob's company has been top notch and I look forward to buying more.
