Rob Cosman's Professional Dovetail Saw, Ebony Handle (Seconds)
We make hundreds of dovetail saws and even though we are really good at it, sometimes things happen. Every now and then we create a cosmetic blemish that does not affect the proper functioning of the saw, but we cannot sell it as one of our high quality saw "Firsts"
This can be great news to you! Its a way to purchase a Rob Cosman Professional Dovetail saw at a discount.
We don't have many of these but when we do make a cosmetic mistake we put them up here for sale. The pictures on this page are representative of the typical flaws that make a saw a second.
If we are out of stock, just keep checking back, maybe there is a blemished saw in your future!!
Please see Rob Cosman's Professional Dovetail Saw product page for all the details about Rob's dovetail saw.NO RETURNS ON SAW SECONDS
What to say? I bought a seconds saw. I got it and WOW!!!! What a great saw. I found two extremely small marks on spine. Super happy with saw, and glad I found Rob Cosman. Rob is a great guy, and his tools are amazing.
I have not cut any wood yet, but it fit my hand great. It will get broken with the bench I am going to build. Where you in 93 when I built my first box with handcut dovetails I did in purple heart wood. That was an education.
I still need to get my technique down a little better, because the saw tends to wander on me a little bit. Like if I’m trying to cut plumb and square across the edge of a board, my saw kerf may be perfectly square on the front face, but on the back it’s off by a little.
I tried to find the defect on my seconds saw. Didn’t find it. Cuts like magic.
