Do you find that using your plane's adjusting knob is a bit difficult? Well we did and decided to fix that by creating our Plane AdjuSTAR Mini knob to replace the original adjusting knob on most of the smaller bench planes.

Our Plane AdjuSTAR Mini is a smaller version of our regular AdjuSTAR but it fits in tight spaces that our regular AdjuSTAR will not fit.

The AdjuSTAR Mini is still larger and much easier to use than the original adjusting knob allowing you to make adjustments to your blade depth setting easily. Our star design makes it easier for you to reach and turn the adjuster with your fingers and easier for you to reach the frog adjustment screw with a screwdriver. We know you will love our Plane AdjuSTAR Mini.

DETAILS:

Made of forged brass.

Designed to fit the smaller Lie Nielsen bench planes, numbers 2, 3, 4, 4-1/2, 10-1/4, and 51. The mini will fit the larger Lie Nielsen bench planes but we recommend our regular AdjuSTAR for the larger bench planes.

Outside Diameter: 1-7/16 inch outside diameter.

Poor Execution of a Sound and Useful Idea

Simply put, the threads are not cut correctly making it nearly impossible to “spin” the AdjuStar Mini; at least on my Lie Nielsen No. 4 plane. The first one had this issue and the second one had the same problem. This is exceedingly odd since all of the items I’ve purchased from RC have performed flawlessly . . . except the AdjuStar Mini. I cannot recommend this product enough

I can never go back to the wheel

These are very simple to install and they make adjustments easy and precise. It seems like a simple thing but I find it to be very helpful for making adjustments.

A Game Changer

These are fantastic. As arthritis creeps into my fingers, these make adjusting my hand planes very easy.

Excellent addition

This is a great modification to any plane! The ordinary knob certainly functions, but it can be difficult to do adjustments with it while actively planing. This grants much more immediate control. It's well made and improves the experience for anyone from a newbie to a more elder woodworker who needs tactile help.

They were worth the wait for the restock

These are my third and fourth purchase of the adjustar plane devices. I previously bought the adjustar for some of my larger planes (5, 5 1/2) and was very happy with them. I had to wait for a restock for my 4 and 4 1/2 planes. I will probably get one more for my #7 in a while.
