Rob Cosman's Dovetail Saw: Regular Size (Seconds)

I had been using a 0.019” kerf Japanese razorsaw to make my dovetail joint cuts with a David Barron jig. It’s a little too flexible and some cuts resulted in gaps.
The Cosman saw is expensive, but it does do the job well. I like the heavy feeling in my hand.
Prior to getting the final kit of stuff from Cosman, I had used the tools and jigs I had on hand. There was always at least one gap somewhere on a corner assembly. I now have the saw, matching kerf knife, shim block, and Cosman cutting wheel on a Veritas marking gauge. My first corner joint (pictured) with all of these tools was glued without test fitting first. 🙂. Confidence.
My hand measured right at 4” and i wished i had picked the larger handle. I could not find any blems on my factory second model.

Fantastic saw - can’t see why it’s a second!!

Although this was a 2nds saw i could not find any defects--minor or otherwise. Handles well and cuts very well also. The rest of
the order was very high quality, packed well and sent very quickly.
As usual, I could not be more pleased. Hope to meet Rob someday.
