Purchased No. 6 hand plane in conjuction with Rob's preparation service. Also hand grip to utilise with a shooting board.
Rob actually called from Canada to Australia to discuss his preference of a 5 1/2 plane. We discussed the issues I have with my shoulder and how to accommodate my limitations. You do not receive that level of specialised commitment, advice and general input to assure that one is purchasing the appropriate product.
Purchased a Wood River hand plane which is of superior quality especially having regard of what is available in Australia.
If I knew of the various products which Rob sells (many of which Rob has published a U-tube video relating to the item) upon commencing my journey with woodworking, I would not have wasted so much money on purchasing inferior products.

Service that Rob gave me when I purchased 3 AdjustStar knobs. Rob called me and let me know that although his AdjustStars have a proper 9/32 LH thread machines in them, that not all hand planes were made to the same exact spec which might cause his to not be able to work properly. He was correct on the 2 larger ones I used on my 605 and 607 bedrocks but one did work on my Bailey #4. After I purchased a tap and die set off eBay I was able to chase the threads on both planes and now all 3 work extremely well. I will be swapping out all my planes in the near future with ones Rob makes. I highly recommend them and thanks Rob!
