Exactly what I needed.

I’ve learned well waxed plane is key to planning smoothly. Along with a sharp blade.

Absolutely magic!

I used to use a candle to help reduce friction on my planes, and this wax is considerably better as it applies easier and provides a slicker surface without buildup.

It left me cold.

I found this wax difficult to apply as the stick seemed to cling to the sole and crumble as I ran the stick back and forth. Once applied, the first couple of passes with the plane were very difficult to push. I wondered if this could be a result of the low temperature in my unheated wood shop. I tried keeping the wax in my pocket to keep it warm, but found little if any improvement. I have tried another commercial stick as well as a bar of paraffin and found either of these easier to use. In favor of Rob's product, however, I found that after several difficult passes with the plane, it became easier to push and remained easier for considerably longer than either of the other products.
