Cosmanized Frog Adjustment Driver: Hex Drive

When I received this and the chip breaker screwdriver, I realized I had forgotten to add the hex screw set they go with. I've since corrected that, and all works as advertised. It's certainly an improvement over just using whatever screwdrivers I have laying around, but I'm not sure I wouldn't have done just as well with Lie-Nielsen's fancy screwdrivers for the screws that came with the plane. Honestly, I haven't really had much occasion to adjust the frog, but the chipbreaker screw and driver come into play every time I sharpen, so that part of the expense was probably worth it. I dunno...maybe I should have bought the pretty screwdrivers to go with my pretty plane, but this is definitely better than what I had.

I bought this driver as part of the whole hex drive conversion kit thing for my WoodRover planes. I was a bit skeptical but Rob had never steered me wrong, so…

Convert your planes. It's surprising how much easier all these adjustments are when the slotted screws are abandoned – especially when tightening up the throat for better support with figured woods, and then moving things back to a more "normal" throat opening.

Great tool to reach those hard to get frogs screws.

Really miss makes adjusting the throat so much easier than a regular screw driver.
