Rob’s dovetail process enabled me to cut my very first set of dovetails that went together and made a passable joint it just wasn’t very pretty bc i need more sawing practice. By the 5th one i have no gaps on anything. Love his willingness to teach newbies and i hope to get up to one of his workshops one of these days. I thought this was a bit gimmicky, but after trying it during the Train the Hand Workshop, I changed my mind. I find it simple to use and very helpful for lining up my work piece both vertically and at the correct height for my plane.
Great tool that makes squaring up very easy.
Makes it easier to put tail board in vise and it is perfect height for my LN #4 that lives on my bench. I’m not using the saw alignment guides on the sides.
