This 16oz white rubber mallet is what I use for assembling and disassembling my wood joints. What makes this perfect for the job is that the white rubber head is non-marring and will not leave a mark on your wood. The rubber head is also softer than the wood so it will not dent or deform the wood. Finally, at 16 ounces it has just the right the weight and heft that I need for joint assembly or disassembly. Plus it has lots of other uses around the shop.

Seasoned hickory handle
We wrap the handle with hockey stick tape for a better grip.
Very happy with my mallet, like the banding around the handle feels good in the hand. Being white does not mare the project piece. Robs tools are the best. Thank you Steve Skope.
This is a wonderful rubber mallet. Doesn’t mar the wood, has good heft to it, and the hockey tape provides excellent grip. Highly recommend. And fits well in a female small to medium size hand.

...are not simple. They need to feel right, (hands are in charge,) work right, and they need to have something that makes you smile, like a hoop at the end to hang it up.
