Hand-Cut Dovetails Shop Copy
So many of my students suggested that a set of detailed notes on how to hand-cut dovetails that I finally put together what I believe is the most comprehensive dovetail instruction manual you can buy.
Titled, "Rob Cosman’s Hand-Cut Dovetails Shop Copy" this 84 page instruction manual is packed full of color photos that will guide you step-by-step through the process of hand cutting dovetails. Spiral bound so you can take right into your workshop and it will lay flat on any surface!
great detailed lesson, pictures really help understanding each step
A lot of great information at your fingertips while in the shop. Very easy to follow with great pictures. The spiral back is is nice for laying the book out flat.
Excellent I am virtually self taught in joinery. Although I took wood shop for four years in high school we weren’t taught any joinery. I learn by doing and fill my head with knowledge by reading.
The book is full of useful and easy to understand information. However, section 9 on transcribing the tails is a bit outdated. This section does not explain Rob’s latest technique of not cutting the tail waste and use the saw kurf to mark the pins.
Well structured and photographed. Very easy to follow. Would recommend it highly.
