The Moxon Vise, named after Joseph Moxon (who described the vise in his book titled Mechanick Exercises), is a great vise. A Moxon vise is especially useful for cutting dovetails and sawing because it holds the material rock solid and in the middle of the vise where it is not obstructed by any hardware.

Rob designed his own version of the Moxon Vise specifically designed for cutting dovetails.  It has a built in support that allows you to set your lumber at the perfect sawing height and then a flip up support to use when transferring tails to pins.

It uses all the components that come in our Cosmanized Moxon Vise Kit but it is a completely built vise.  If you prefer an already built Moxon vise that is ready to use instead of building your own then this is the vise for you!

Best vise I have ever owned. Smooth operation, practical and a stable, well constructed device.

Rob’s Moxon vise was delivered in excellent condition. It operated just as described and the construction was excellent..practical and heavy duty. The added portable supports with the magnets worked great as well. I keep mine attached to the end of a Husky (Home Depot) adjustable table so I can regulate the working height as needed.

    Moxon Vise

First, I would like to say that I received a call from Rob himself after I purchased my order. It was great to talk with him and I appreciate the call; something I havent seen before.

Second, the Moxon Vise hardware arrived in great working order. The directions are self-explanatory, but I also looked at his YouTube video for assistance. It was very informative.

Overall, I am very pleased with everything. I look forward to buying more tools and accessories from them.

    Moxon vise purchase

The vise I was using was shoberg 3 bar vise that did not enable me to properly clamp the piece. Your Moxon Vise fills the bill. Thanks
