Even in a well lit workshop like mine, a workbench light is a must.  When cutting dovetails, tenons, or doing any work you want your workpiece lit up without any shadows. This adjustable lamp is what I use and I love it.

We beefed up the lamp's stem by inserting a steel rod into it to prevent the lamp from bending or breaking at this traditionally weak spot.

It comes with a special "Mushroom" shaped holder that we manufacture to hold the lamp.  The "mushroom" fits into a 1 inch diameter bench dog hole.  The mushroom has a 1/2 inch hole drilled through the center that the lamp stem fits into.

  • Includes lamp and mushroom holder.
  • BULB NOT INCLUDED.

  • Bulb socket size: A19

  • Shade diameter: 7 inches
  • Cord length: 4 feet, 11 inches.
  • 110V Power Supply ONLY (North America)

I can see!

The work bench lamp is a great product. Solved my shop lighting issue. Being able to rotate and focus the light beam directly on my work and actually see my layout lines has made shop more enjoyable.

Really better than your average swing lamp

For a couple of years, I have had both a Cosmanized lamp and a generic lamp. When I decided to get a third lamp to light up my bench top bandsaw, I chose the Cosmanized lamp because:
1. The Mushroom. I drilled a hole halfway up the side of my bench especially for the mushroom, so that when I wanted a light to shine from behind where I was working, I could easily move the lamp forward. I don't think it would work as well to make the smaller hole for the just the lamp.
2. The Cosman lamp seemed to have better springs, and better tightening knobs to hold it in the right place.
YMMV :-)

Workbench lamp

The lighting in my shop isn’t the greatest however with the addition of the workbench lamp I can actually see what I’m doing now. I really like being able to move it around!

Excellent. Rob personally called me to thank me for the order. Unheard of and very much appreciated.
