This video provides bench-side instruction on hand-cutting hound's tooth, half-blind, and mitered edge dovetails. Building on "Hand Cut Dovetails" Rob takes you through the more difficult variations of the dovetail joint one step at a time, thoroughly explaining each step as he demonstrates. An additional camera was used in filming this video to provide close-up shots of what was happening at the "cutting edge". Rob introduces some custom tools to make the job easier and faster. "Advanced Hand Cut Dovetails" is a precursor to "Drawer Making".

Advanced Hand-Cut Dovetails

While I've never cut dovetails I did watch the DVD completely and found it very interesting. I intend to make the attempt to hand-cut dovetails and this DVD will be extremely helpful. The DVD is easy to follow.

Rob is a great instructor and teaches in an easy to follow and understand method. If you are going to learn to cut dovetails, you may as well learn from the best.
