Cosmanized WoodRiver Moxon Vise Hardware Kit
A Moxon Vise, named after Joseph Moxon (who described the vise in his book titled Mechanick Exercises), is a great vise, and best of all it is easy to build yourself. A Moxon vise is especially useful for cutting dovetails and sawing because it holds the material rock solid, and the middle of the vise is not obstructed by vise hardware. All you need is some 8/4 hardwood for the jaws and our "Cosmanized" hardware kit to make whatever vise size to best suit your needs.
We "Cosmanize" the WoodRiver Moxon Vise kit by adding two vise springs, two self-lubricating bushings, two revolving knobs, drilling and tapping a hole in each of the wheels for mounting the revolving knob, and providing a strip of cork-rubber to line the jaw with. These additions take the WoodRiver Moxon Vise kit to the next level.

Just finished assembly of my moxon vise using Rob’s kit. The enhancements truly make for a wonderful vise. I highly recommend going this route. Everything thing works smooth and precise. Thanks Rob!
I built my moxon vise from laminated Baltic birch plywood and added a MDF work surface
The build came out perfect as the vise jaws move smoothly and provide excellent workpiece holding . The springs and bushings are key to the smooth movement!
I’ve cut two practice dovetails using the vise. well, the device worked perfectly, but I need to work on my sign techniques and remember to mark out the waist side of the pin so that I don’t accidentally cut out the wrong section which I did my first attempt what a knucklehead. My second attempt came out pretty good, and I work on my sawing and chiseling techniques but the Moxon vise is making the work easier.
Quality product .
Directions were disappointing when it comes to drilling instructions. Especially, where modifications from the original wood river package have occurred. Boring diagrams would be most helpful verses viewing a video. I am also very disappointed with the length of the handles provided. The reason that I
purchased your kit was for the handles.
thanks for delivering on your offer
