Marking your dovetail pins and tails can be a laborious task if you do not have a well designed marker. My Dovetail Marker is designed for marking both through and half-blind dovetails. My Dovetail Marker enables you to quickly, accurately, and repeatably layout your tails.

Made from a solid piece of wood, it fits and feels great in your hand.
Allows you to lay out the angle cut and its associated straight cut without re-positioning the marker.
Has 1:6 and 1:7 angled vertical faces and a 90 degree horizontal face.
1:6 is the traditional angle for softwoods and 1:7 is the traditional angle for hardwoods.
Shipping box doubles as a handy storage container to keep it from getting beat up in your tool box.

Great tool

Makes layout super fast and accurate. Short of taking time to make your own (such as Paul Sellers shows) it’s worth the money.

Well made, stable product that does exactly as it was intended.

I thought it would be nicer

The dovetail marker I received looks like it was broken and repaired. There's a small knot in the wood near this. It works fine and looks ok, but TBH I expected something nicer. Everything else I received in my order is fantastic but this seems to me like a second/blemished piece. Again, it works fine and looks ok, but since everything else was if such high quality, this stands out. I look at everything else and think WOW but at this I think "oh well"...

Dovetail marker

Works great just like my first one still does. This is a backup DT marker.

So far it does look like it will do the job once I’ve caught up to it in respect of workmanship. I have a ways to go before my joints look respectable. My old Spears & Jackson dovetail saw isn’t the best and I’m struggling with it even after an average sharpening.
