Video: Technique Series #02: Hand Planing and Sharpening

This video provide bench-side instruction on sharpening and using hand planes. Rob walks you through the sharpening and use of four basic shop hand planes: the block plane, the smoother plane, the jointer plane, and the rabbet plane. Each plane is explained and its use demonstrated. The basics of water stone sharpening is taught with a bonus segment using the David Charlesworth "ruler trick" to speed up the process.
