A fret saw is only as good as the blades you use.  I prefer a 12 point skip tooth blade for my fret saw.

A skip toothed blade is similar to a standard toothed blade, except that every other tooth is missing. This makes the space (gullet) between teeth is much wider than standard blades which allows the skip-toothed blade to hold and clear a lot more sawdust allowing the blade to cut faster.and stay cooler than standard blades.

Our blades come in a handy clear plastic storage tube so you have a nice place to keep your blades organized. Each pack includes twelve (12) blades.

Dovetail cutting

Blades worked out perfectly. I use a Japanese saw (dozuki) to cut my dovetails and the thickness of the fretsaw blade is thin enough to go straight into the very fine kerf of my saw. Very happy.
P.S I know Japanese saw but it does the job.

Fret saw blades

I had accidentally bought the wrong blades for my fret saw. It made every cut harder. Life, and sawing are much easier now. Thanks

The Best Blades to get

I ran out of fret saw blades and ordered some from King Canada, 12 point skip tooth. The blades are a little wider than 24 thousands and caused my pins to be too wide by a few thousands. So lesson learned, don't buy the King Canada brand get these instead...they are actually cheaper too.
