He then discusses and demonstrates the importance of replacing the original blade with an improved, high quality modern blade set. Rob teaches you how to re-grind a primary bevel on your blade once it needs it. He also teaches you his free-hand sharpening method, because no matter how tuned up your plane is it wont work if the blade is not sharp. Finally Rob shows you basic planning techniques that all but eliminate sanding.
