I make a lot of boxes, and determining how the lid attaches is a primary design concern. This video adds another viable way of attaching a lid, and it is a wonderful solution. There are several steps to prepare the hinge components, like being able to make dowels to match the wood in box, and being able to drill a perfectly centered hole in the end of the dowel. Rob shows how it’s done. As a bonus, you get Rob’s method for a box joint with narrow “box pins” and wider “box tails.” This adds another option when deciding on how to construct that next box. I am very happy with this purchase. In my opinion, this video gives valuable instruction at a fair price.
