Do you find that using your plane's adjusting knob is a bit difficult? Well we did and decided to fix that by creating our Plane AdjuSTAR 2.0 adjusting knob to replace the original adjusting knob on most Lie Nielsen bench planes.
Our Plane AdjuSTAR 2.0 is larger and much easier to use than the original adjusting knob allowing you to make adjustments to your blade depth setting easily. Our star design makes it easier for you to reach and turn the adjuster with your fingers and easier for you to reach the frog adjustment screw with a screwdriver. We know you will love our Plane AdjuSTAR 2.0.
DETAILS:

It is a well thought out “modification “. As Rob said one can adjust a planes blade with the one had zz
Such a simple upgrade, yet such a huge impact. Love it!
Works great. Love being able to easily micro adjust while planing.
Had to modify to make work. Filed tabs on Adjustar & interference area on plane frog so Adjustar would spin with clearance. Works fine now. Tried adjusting the frog but it didn’t help. Plus mine doesn’t look like the one shown above. The ears on the Adjustar I received are on the opposite side towards the frog. Maybe it would have worked if it was like the one shown above. Seemed like a bad design to me. After filing the ears down and creating more clearance on the frog it seems to work well. I have three of the previous generation Adjustar’s (Stainless) and I had to make significant touch up’s to them so they would work well. Not what expected from a Cosman product. Plus when I wrote a review on the last one all of the details of the review were hidden instead of being responded to. I wonder if Rob or the Colonel read these reviews?
Easy to install and makes adjusting the plane blade very easy. A big improvement for my old arthritic fingers over the original wheel adjuster. Too bad there isn’t a similar device (it would have to be a whole lot smaller) for the Norris style adjuster used by Veritas.
